The Youth Center has new hours of operation. They are as follows:
Monday-Thursday, 12:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.
Friday, 12:00p.m. – 10:00p.m.
Saturday, 2:00p.m. – 10:00p.m.

- Cooking Club: Monday, 4-5pm – teaches our youth how to manage in a kitchen setting. They learn to cook as well as all the utensils and different measurements. There are occasional tests given and also going to the commissary to do mock shopping for healthy-affordable grocery shopping.
- Art Club: Tuesday, 2-3pm – teaches all types of arts multicultural, sun catchers, jewelry, drawings, blankets, etc. They also learn the differences in paper, paint, markers, etc.
- Archery Club: Tuesday, 3-4pm – teaches the youth the basics on shooting a bow and arrow into a target.
- “Real World”: Wednesday, 4-5pm – Find out what it takes to make it in the “Real World” of school, life, work & money. Workshops include: Career Exploration, College Scholarships & Financial Aid, Resume Writing, Interview Skills, Personal Finance and many more topics that challenge teens in the real world!
- Healthy Habits: Thursday, 3-4pm – Designed for ages 6 to 15, the program aims to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience. Healthy Habits, which is also the “Mind” component of Triple Play: A Game for the Mind, Body and Soul, emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being.
- Sports and Fitness Club: Thursday, 4-5pm – teaches how to have fun playing sports, making healthy life choices, have a good workout, and use healthy eating habits.
- Wanna Play: Friday, 2-3pm – The program will allow co-ed youth to improve their health and fitness while learning the fundamental skills of baseball through fun and enriching activities.
- Technology Lab: Friday, 3-4pm – learn to make a web page through graphic design and a chance to have page submitted to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s Digital Arts Festival. The club is offered at the Youth Center on Mondays and Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m.
- Power Hour: Receive help or just a quiet space to do your homework in the Youth Center’s Homework Lab. Computers and an instructor are available for youth to utilize. Program is available Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 4p.m.
- Video Games: The Youth Center offers the newest gaming systems such as the Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360 along with the newest games out, all played on seven High-Definition flat screen televisions for the ultimate gaming experience. Gaming is available Monday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., Fridays from 2:30 to 11 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fort Sill Youth Center is for children from 6th to 12th grade. Registration is free. The Youth Center offers a safe place for youth to go after school. The center is open until 7 p.m. This is convenient for parents who work on Fort Sill because they can pick their teen up at the center after work and ride home together, and teens are provided a free after-school snack to curb the after-school hunger attack.
Members are offered a variety of educational programs for students; including homework area, instructor and school books. Tech support with a computer lab, instructor, internet access and digital photography are also available.
The Center has several clubs for teens to participate in including a cooking club, DVD movie club, drama club, career opportunities, crafts, Youth Council, Junior Ambassadors and Youth Council Key Stones.
The center also offers a game room with pool tables, foosball tables, air hockey tables, dart boards, board games and a big screen TV.
Teen dances, summer day camps, pet shows, holiday events, and a variety of sports are just some of the activities offered.
Teens catch ride and get homework help at Youth Center
Fort Sill, OK Area students in grades 6 through 12 can catch a bus after school and get help with their homework and hang out at the Fort Sill Youth Center.
Lawton Public Schools administration has provided after-school bus transportation from the following schools: Geronimo Road Elementary School, Tomlinson Junior High School, Central Junior High School, MacArthur High School, Lawton High School, Sheridan Road Elementary School, Eisenhower Junior High School, MacArthur Middle School and Eisenhower High School.
The service is free to Fort Sill Youth Center members and available to all authorized Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation patrons including active duty military, retired military, National Guard and Reserves, DoD civilian employees, and non-DoD contracted employees who work on Fort Sill.
