Challenge yourself on March 10 at the 2012 Mountains of Mayhem presented by Family & MWR with presenting sponsor Sun & Ski Sports. The 22-mile mountain bike race challenges off-road cyclist to a network of military roads, double track, rocky, very technical single track and smooth single track through some forest. The race starts at 1:00pm at LETRA. Cost is $30 and you can register online here. Registration includes a T-Shirt and post-race refreshments. Day of Registration is also available from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at LETRA Lodge. The cost increases by $5 for Day of Registration. Riders are also eligible to win prizes by Sun & Ski Sports and Schlegel Bicycles. All participants must read and sign a liability waiver prior to participating. There will also be a Pre-Ride Course on March 3, 2012 from 8 am-7 pm. If you plan on pre-riding the course, you must do so on above date/time, and check in with Fort Sill Sportsman’s Services prior.

Join the Patriot Spouses Club for the annual “Denim to Diamonds” Monte Carlo Night on Saturday, March 3rd from 6PM – Midnight. The casino-themed event includes Blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em, Craps, Live & Silent Auctions, Live Music & Dancing, Fabulous Prizes, Food, Drinks and Fun! The event raises money to provide educational scholarships to military families, as well as grants to many non-profit organizations in the Lawton/Fort Sill community. Tickets are $10 in advance ($15 at the door) and price includes $15 in poker chips. Tickets are available online at www.fortsillpsc.org or at Adventure Travel (Fort Sill Welcome Center or Central Mall).

We have something NEW this year…CHILDCARE! We have arranged for a CYSS Special Opening for childcare, which will be offered from 5:00PM – 12:00AM. The cost of childcare will be $4 per hour. Children must be enrolled in CYSS to take advantage of this option. Childcare reservations must be received no later than February 20th! If you are interested in RSVPing for childcare, please contact Grierson Childcare Center at 580-558-4305 and request the PSC special opening on Saturday, March 3rd. PLEASE NOTE: If enough people do not take advantage of the childcare option, then we will have to cancel the special opening. If this happens, we will contact everyone soon after February 20th so that other arrangements can be made for your children.
