Full Time, part time & flexible positions are available. Individuals must have an up-to-date American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certificate, in addition to current CPR-Pro and first aid certifications. American Red Cross Life Guarding and Blood Borne Pathogens CourseLG Winter Training 1: Jan 14 – Jan 25 LG Winter Training 2: Feb 25 – Mar 8 LG Spring Training 1: April 1 – April 2 LG Spring Training 2: April 22 – May 3 Fort Sill offers a two-week class to fully qualify as an American Red Cross lifeguard. This class offers training in life saving techniques, first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, blood borne pathogens and use of an automatic external defibrillator. The class is held Monday through Friday 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Rinehart Indoor Pool, located at 2730 Bragg Road, Ft. Sill, OK 73503. All candidates must pass a swim test before enrolling. Contact the Aquatics Manager at 580-442-6200/6175 to schedule this test. Only the first 10 candidates that pass the test will be accepted. Candidates must attend all classes, score 80 percent or higher on each written test and successfully demonstrate and pass all water skill tests to graduate as an American Red Cross lifeguard. Classes and times are subject to change at instructor’s request. The course costs $200, payable by check or money order to Family & MWR Aquatics (due upon passing prerequisite). Water Safety Instructor CourseWSI Winter Training 1:January 5, 6, 12, 13 WSI Winter Training 2: March 16, 17, 23, 24 WSI Spring Training 1: April 6, 7, 13, 14 WSI Spring Training 2: July 20, 21, 27, 28 This eight-hour course is offered 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on the dates indicated above, and it is conducted at the Rinehart Indoor Pool, located at 2730 Bragg Road, Ft. Sill, OK 73503. Candidates must call the Aquatics office to enroll (Only the first 10 participants to enroll with paid tuition will be accepted into each class).
